About us

One of the active goals of the Rotary movement in Estonia is to grow the Rotary community, which led the Tallinn Reval Rotary Club and the Pärnu Rotary Club to the idea of creating a daughter club in Pärnu.

We started creating the club
at the beginning of September and already on September 13, 2021, we gathered for the first time with 12 active and energetic women from Pärnu. By March 14, 2022, the Pärnu Lahe Rotary Club received its official accreditation. Our club’s number became RI 223597.

The club’s Charter Party took place on September 10, 2022. By the time of the Charter Party, we had clearly defined our club’s goal in the form of a charitable project: “An Accessible Pärnu Beach for People with Special Needs.”

They say, dream big! We dreamed of Pärnu’s wonderful beach being open to everyone, including those who need assistance. Our club set a goal to make the beach of the resort town accessible to people with special needs, and implementing this project has become our heartfelt mission. To make the dreams of those who, due to their special needs, have never been able to enjoy the wonders of Pärnu beach and swim in the sea, come true. Today, the club’s 20 active and dedicated women are making this happen. These women have contributed their time, knowledge, and skills to bring the project to life.

We hope that our project has the potential to expand to other public beaches across Estonia.
Together with the Pärnu Rotary Club, we have also made a significant contribution to enhancing the traditions of Estonian Rotary Clubs by creating a new tradition: the Estonian Rotary Clubs Summer Days. The Summer Days have been filled with various sporting activities such as sailing, cycling, rowing, a hiking trip on the Pärnu pier, clay pigeon shooting, and basketball. The Summer Days bring together all the Rotary Clubs of Estonia.
